Yes. All traffic is encrypted using HTTPS whenever the device sends information to myQNAPcloud. Also, the Cloud Installation service does not allow you to search for the device using the Cloud Key if the device becomes idle during initialization. You must first reboot the device to prevent others from connecting to it. If you did not enable the myQNAPcloud Link service on myQNAPcloud during the initial setup, the device disconnects from the myQNAPcloud server.
